DEPARTMENT SUMMARY
The bank is currently implementing Fidessa systems for cash equities order management and multiple exchange access globally i.e. Fidessa is a global strategic technology for the bank. One of the important Fidessa projects in progress is in Japan. The project is referred to locally as 'Japan Orders and Executions'. The bank in Japan is a very significant player in local Equities markets. The Japan project is being run within the Equities technology group there which is a tightly focussed, friendly & enthusiastic group. There are many UK ex-pats there including the senior manager for Equities technology.
The initial phase implementation of Fidessa for Japan is scheduled to go live in July 2001,with various later phases planned. here are many interesting items of functionality planned to be implemented in these later phases. Currently The bank is relying heavily on Fidessa implementation specialists sourced directly from royalblue and we are looking to balance out this situation by introducing some new individuals to the team as well as increasing the overall team size. There are opportunities for both experienced server configuration and client configuration specialists. The Fidessa core team is currently 6 people within the overall project team headcount of 15. As a leading player in the market the bank is working in partnership with royalblue on further Fidessa product enhancements to maximise support for the Japanese market. SKILLS / EXPERIENCE

Essential: Description / Level:
Fidessa implementation Must have minimum 6 months previous experience of fidessa software implementation, including TMAR, PMAC, CTAC and EMMA.
Programming: Minimum 3 years experience programming in one of :-C, C++, VC++, VB, TCL
Relevant business experience:3 – 6+ years within a Capital Markets Equity front or back office environment
