My prime motivation is to exercise my accumulative experience and abilities to the fullest extent.
I have diversified experience having successfully held the position of Technical Support Consultant. I have been involved in numerous projects. For all projects, I have given excellent support and consulting services.
In my current assignment, I was successful in creating a step-by-step procedure for the management of the token-ring network of one of our client. Next step is to study the feasibility of migration or introducing Ethernet or (Fast Ethernet) on their token-ring-based network.
I believe that I am best qualified for this position. To summarize my skills, I’ve enumerated them below:
1. Windows NT
Leading technical expert on Windows NT. My skills include: implementation and management of Windows NT Directory services, performance tuning and monitoring, advanced debugging and troubleshooting skills, interoperability or migration from Novell NetWare, and, enterprise-wide installation and management.
2. Network Management
Provide service on network planning and design, traffic monitoring and performance analysis, developing network recovery plans, and, network fault determination and troubleshooting.
3. Enterprise Systems Management
Through the use of a Systems Management tool, provide customer with network management, server and desktop management, software management, and, HelpDesk support.
4. HelpDesk Management
Experience in setting-up and managing of a HelpDesk System. Part of job is the creation of a HelpDesk operational procedures, identification and management of key helpdesk personnel, monitoring, management and analysis of fault-calls, problem escalation to vendor, and, knowledge-based management.
5. Asset Management
Provide asset control, includes hardware and software inventory management, warranty monitoring, and Asset Database management.
6. TCP/IP and related services
Solid experience implementing and configuring Name Servers (DNS), SMTP gateway, Proxy and NAT server configuration, and, routing table management.
7. WAN/LAN technologies
Experience operating and/or managing Ethernet, Token-Ring, and, ISDN. Provide proposal for the interoperability of Ethernet and Token-Ring –based networks. Technical background on the following: 100BaseT, ATM, Frame Relay, DSL, FDDI, and Fast Token Ring).
8. Network Security, Intrusion Detection, and, Risk Assessment
Background on network infrastructure assessment, Windows NT security assessment and policy creation, auditing of system configurations, system and data files, and auditing of vulnerabilities. Knowledge in the skills for unauthorized entry to Windows NT-based networks.
9. Backup, Archival & Disaster Recovery Concepts
Create backup and recovery policies. Implementation of fault-tolerant (RAID) systems.
10. High-Availability Concepts and Clustered Servers
Experience in installation and management of Windows NT Enterprise Cluster Service and Qualix’s Octopus HA+. Familiarity with high-availability hardware configurations, IP load-balancing service, and, use of fault-tolerant (RAID) system.
