What is NetSearch?
NetSearch is a searchable index dedicated to those who want to know more about Asia and the internet. We programmed our search engine to look for documents containing the exact words you entered into the query box. In returns, NetSearch goes further and looks for ideas related to the words in your query. This help your search all the related information with ease.

If you enter financial market in the query box, besides finding sites containing those exact words, the search engine will find sites mentioning money market and stock market related subjects. Our search engine can figure out that relationships exist between words and concepts -- that the term financial market is related to money market and stock exchange. It learns about related concepts from the documents themselves, and learns more from each new document it indexes.

What Can I Search?
NetSearch searches Web sites, and other internet addresses. It also searches data on thousands of personal home pages from around the globe or the discussion postings found in Asia Online!

World Wide Web
We search more than 1 million Web sites in our database, looking for the top 100 most related web sites that you are looking for. This will save your time to gone through all the unrelated files.

Asia Online! Web site
Asia Online! is a database created by Asiadragons to manage more than 10 thousand files related to all Asian countries. There are more than 10 Asian countries in Asia Online! including special territories such as Hong Kong and Taiwan. Initially dedicated to Asia related subjects, Asia Online! is now a worldwide search engine as the number of non-Asia related web sites are added to our database everyday.

News and Discussion Subjects
The latest news from Asia and all Asia related subjects can be found in NetSearch. Discussion files can be traced back to 4 weeks before they are deleted, keeping the information fresh. People, politics, stock market and many interesting discussion subjects will interest you.

Search Tips
1. Use keywords to search. Use ideas and concepts or use more than one word in your search. NetSearch is case sensitive and will find relationships that exist between words and ideas, so the results of a search will contain words related to the concepts you're searching for besides the exact words.

2. NetSearch's search results are sorted by document relevance. The top 100 most relevant results will usually be listed.

3. Use more specific words as opposed to general keywords. For example, a search for "internet games" will return much more specific results than a search for "games."

4. To search files in different languages besides english, change the encoding before you type the keywords. NetSearch can support Chinese, Japanese and other major international languages.

Search results
NetSearch searches retrieve four different kinds of information:

NetSearch Channels that match your keywords,
Internet websites that match your keywords,
Files from Asia Online! countries that match your keywords,
Discussion files that match your keywords.

This is to enable you to click on to the relevant website or search through the channels in NetSearch or Asia Online! countries, or any files that you are interest in with ease.

The file may be deleted or may no longer exist, or it may have moved to another address.

The Menu Bar
From NetSearch's menu bar on top of each page, you'll find links to several of the NetSearch's channels : News, Business, Job, Add URL and Help!

To return to NetSeach main page, just click on "NetSearch" in the menu bar.

The Add URL is for URL submission. You can add your URL (homepage address) to NetSearch if you have a home page. We will validate the URL that is submitted and list it into our database.

What is NetSearch?

NetSearch is a searchable index dedicated to those who want to know more about Asia and the internet. It is a guide for the World Wide Web and Internet. See Asia Online! for more information.

How to list my homepage in NetSearch or Asia Online!?

To get listed, you must set up a page on the World Wide Web. If you don't know what that means, please have a look at the WWW FAQ, which talks about how to write a home page in HTML, and find a WWW server to serve your document.

Once you have a URL of something that you think we should add, click on the "Add URL" link and follow the instructions. Choose the best channel you want to join or choose the best country you want your link to be listed. Please submit only once. We will delete all your submission without notice if we find that you have submitted too many times.

A site is gone and it was listed here few days ago. What happened?

This is because the site is no longer exist or moved or it can be a file from a discussion room. Files from discussion room will be deleted after 4 weeks of listing.

I like the images and pictures in NetSearch. Can I get them?

You can use any gif or jpg (images) files in NetSearch and Asia Online! related website. You can even edit them, change them the way you like or place them in your homepage.
