In a public notice, the Central Jakarta District Court bailiff Surya Saputra summoned John Colmey, David Liebhold, and Lisa Rose Weaver to appear before the court on Oct. 14. The lawsuit contests an article carried by Time magazine last May which alleged Suharto and his family amassed a $15 billion fortune in real estate, equities, and property during the patriarch's 32-year reign, including transferring $9 billion from a Swiss bank account to Austria shortly before he quit in May 1998 during widespread protests. Last week, Bisnis Indonesia newspaper reported that a criminal case has been shelved for lack of evidence, quoting Togar Sianipar, spokesman for Indonesia's police.
